Singapore Noodles Recipe

  • Prawns
  • Pork/chicken/beef
  • Onion
  • Egg
  • Chillies
  • Pepper
  • White Cabbage
  • Carrot
  • Spring Onion
  • Garlic
  • Sesame Oil
  • Soy Sauce
  • Sherry Vinegar
  • Palm Sugar
  • Fish Sauce
  • White Pepper
  • Curry Powder
  • Rice Vermicelli Noodles
  • Satay Sauce
  • Peanuts
  • Chicken Stock Cube
  • Salt or msg

How to make: Singapore Noodles

  1. Grate Garlic, crush the peanuts and finely chop the onions, peppers, chillies, carrots, spring onions and white cabbage.
  2. Chop the prawns and pork and season with curry powder and sesame oil.
  3. Beat the egg. In a pan add some sesame oil and the egg, place to one side once cooked.
  4. In a bowl or pan soak the rice vermicelli noodles for 2 mins, drain and mix with some sesame oil to prevent them sticking together, place to one side.
  5. In a pan or wok add some sesame oil then start frying the onions, garlic after a few minutes add the rest of the vegetables.
  6. Push the veg to one side after a few mins and add the pork/chicken or beef, once browned slightly add a splash of sherry vinegar then some soy sauce, sugar, salt or msg, pepper and fish sauce.
  7. Disssolve the stock cube in a small amount of water and add to the pan.
  8. After a few more minutes add the beansprouts, peanuts, egg and prawns.
  9. When the prawns are cooked mix in the noodles and add satay sauce, stir well on a low heat and add more seasoning if needed.
  10. Garnish with crushed peanuts, chilli and spring onion and enjoy!
